How can i get super strong for rugby and wrestling?
I do heavy weight training 5 days a week also i do some cardio us wel in these days.
I have started to do rugby and wrestling and even though i lift alot of heavy weights everyone in my rugby team seems so much stronger then me and also in wrestling when i wrestle people they be miles stronger then me.
Why is this and what could i do to get some hardcore power and strength into me.
you need core muscles for both and cardio is required for them too.
try using compound exercises for building up muscles and surrounding muscles do bench and incline bench is great for upper body while squats and leg press is good for legs. also dont forget to train yout back upper and lower also. for rugby where do you play. if your a back strength is good but your there for speed so work on your sprinting or cardio . if your in the pack train yuour neck with your shoulders and you will get much more confident.
remember that weight counts for a lot too i used to out wrestle my partners simply becasue i outweighed them thats all they figured this out rode me for the 1st 5 mins and simply submitted me at will cos it ws such an effort to sustain any pace with me being so heavy. also in rugby i was a lot heavier than players who were pound for pound stronger than me so i could just stand in their way or run through them using my weight. if people outweigh you technique will over come but if u think they are genuiely stronger then train in compound exercises
